A

Retinitis - cloudy appearance of retina
retinal exudates
venous sheating
vitritis - cells, flare and opacitised vitreous
choroiditis - yellow or grey pathches in fundus
branch retinal vein occlusion
cystoid macular oedema
branch retinal artery occlusion

A

uveal tissue trauma
penetrating eye injury - effects the opposite eye
granulomatous panuveitis
non-responsive to cortical steroids

post opperative or traumaitc acute onset of pain and reduced vision

proliferation of ciliary epithelium

Treatment

A

prompt diagnosis critical for any chance of regining vision
microbiological analysis of culture
ac tap and biopsy
intensive antibodies
mydraitcs
cortial steroids - topical, systemic used later to limit damage from systoid macular oedema
