Q

How should we keep correct posture in dancing

Q

Turnout

A

Limited by a bony structure (shape of femur determines turnout), tightness of the capsular ligaments, strength of the hip external rotators and muscle elasticity.

Q

Devlopes

A

All-Leg lifts should only be to the height that the dancers pelvis begins to move and the strength that they can maintain correct alignment. Hip and spine will need to move.
Devant- pelvis tilts up on side of working leg
Arabesque-body tilts forward

Jumps

A

Starts from plié or fondu, heels down to act as as shock absorbers. If we continue this exercise to improve stamina it is counterproductive as dancer becomes fatigued and wrong muscles get used
