A process converting other forms of energy into electrical energy.

A
A power plant or power station is a place where electricity is produced.

How does electricity come to our homes?
A
Power stations generate electricity, which is then sent through high voltage transmission line, often carried on large poles, to substations. these substations lower the voltage, and the electricity is finally distributed through smaller power lines into individual homes.
