Health probs other than those at the first two levels such as other long term issues in health , issues in health education , rest coping and so on
To know how to prioritize the pt what needs to be done first
Assessment of the patient to have a baseline
Airway
Assess for patent airway
Establish airway if indicated 3-5 min window for oxygenation
Breathing
Comes after airway
Assess breathing and its effectiveness
Intervene as appropriate
Fast or slow is chest moving up and down ?
Skin color? P2 sat ? Breathe sounds
How can we intervene with breathing issues occur
Reposition or give narcan to reverse narcotics
Circulation
After breathing
Pulse, cardiac, monitor , arrhythmias , dysarrythmias , cap refill, are they cold , numb , tingling , are they blue
Disability
After circulation
A pt with high bp with vision changes we would want to get bp down so they dont have permanent damage
Confusion and chest pain
Should be cared for immediately
See vitals or poor perfusion
