4 step process to locate femoral head and neck

1. Locate ASIS and pubic symphysis
2. Draw an imaginary line between the 2 points
3. Femoral head lies approx 1.5" below midpoint of the line
4. Femoral neck lies 2.5" below midpoint of the line
