  • Created by Eugène Aimé Salon, self-made businessman, politician and gourmand
  • In 1905, Eugène Aimé Salon purchased a 1 ha vineyard in Le-Mesnil-Sur-Oger making wines for himself and his Parisian lunch club
  • 1st vintage 1905, released 1911, but enjoyed privately and not available commercially
  • 1st commercial vintage 1921
  • Considered the 1st blanc de blancs Champagne
  • Aimé Salon made the wines until his death in 1943 and left the winery to his nephew
  • In 1988 the winery was purchased by Laurent-Perrier
  • Today, run side-by-side with Champagne Delamotte, the 5th-oldest winery in Champagne
