Difference between tabular, summary, matrix and joined reports?

A

Tabular - Simple and fast just a basic list. No charts as tabular reports do not group by fields.

Summary - Similar to tabular but allows groupings to add charts, sub totals etc.

Matrix - Similar to Summary but can group by row AND column, looks like a grid

Joined - Combine multiple views or blocks of related data in a single report (up to 5). Essentially 2 different reports into 1 single report but you link a common field

A

Sit on the summary level and creates numerical fields. You can have 5 summary formulas.
