Geographical space shaped by individuals and communities over time

Rural areas- fishing, farming, mining
Low paid and manual work

There is more in northern cities eg. Manchester, Sheffield, Glasgow but has declined over time.

The Index of Multiple Deprivation, where 32844 areas of the UK are ranked by relative level of deprivation
What is the Quinary sector?
The highest levels of decision making in an economy- top business executives.

The gender pay gap (men 10% more)
Zero hours contracts
Illegal migrant workers
Temporary and seasonal work
Primary sector and low-level service work
