What are the key skin features of dermatomyositis?
Gottron’s papules, Heliotrope rash, photosensitivity, macular rash and nail fold capillary dilatation
What are the causes of dermatomyositis?
Associated with a connective tissue disorder, idiopathic or underlying malignancy (ovarian, breast)
What is the cause of Marfan’s syndrome?
Mutation in fibrillin-1
What are the x-ray finding in psoriatic arthritis?
Pencil in cup - periarticular erosions and bone resorption.
What monitoring should be done when using hydroxychloroquine?
Eye checks - bull’s eye retinopathy may result in severe and permanent visual loss
What antibody is most associated with dermatomyositis?
Anti-Jo-1 antibody
What autoantibody is limited (central) systemic sclerosis associated with?
Anticentromere
What autoantibody is Diffuse cutaneous systemic sclerosis associated with?
Anti Scl-70 antibodies

Renal impairment, resp-haemoptysis & dyspnoea, systemic symptoms (fatigue, weight loss, fever), vasculitis rash

Small vessel vasculitis

pANCA - eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis + others
