what are the 3 factored risks
-absolute risk(worst-case scenario)
-perceived risk(what we think the risk is without full consideration)
-actual/real risk (risk that exists considering all safety measures)
what is a risk
a risk is defined as exposure to harm or loss.
what may a loss be
the loss may be physical (health/injury), psychological (embarrassment at failure) or financial (damage to expensive equipment ect.)
what may a gain be
a potential gain may also be physical (increased fitness or adrenaline boost), psychological (increased confidence) or financial (prize money or reward)
what are the key factors that affect risk
~people involved - skill level,knowledge, experience, fitness, mood
~equipment - using safety gear, equipment failure
~environment - weather, terrain, remoteness, shelter, flora and fauna
