What are bar charts?

  • Used for categorical data
  • As data is not continous > there are gaps between the bars
  • Y : frequency
  • X : category
  • Bars represent seperate categories

What are scattergraphs

  • Sometimes referred to as scatterplots / scattergraphs
  • Used for correlations
  • Shows a relationship between 2 variables
  • We add a line of best fit
    1. Enter ppt first score on x - axis
    2. Enter ppt second score on y - axis
    3. Find ppt score on x - axis then read from y - axis
