A
  1. set the objective lens to the lowest
  2. turn the coarse focus so it almost touches the slide- look at is side ways
  3. look through eyepiece and adjust coarse focus
  4. use the fine focus to get a clear focus

light has limited magnification and resolution but electron has both greater
