How does patterns of population distribution in Russia and how does physical geography facilitate human activity or make it challenging?
Most people live in the west of the country, and the east is sparsely populated. This is because the climate is minder im thr west, there are flat lands, big cities and transport links. However, it is very good, permafrost, long distances between towns and serves and there are lots of mountains and forests so it’s hard to build homes, roads etc.
