How did Stalin ideas on communism differ from Trotsky?
Trotsky and Lenin wanted to communism to be worldwide quickly while Stalin believed communism should happen more gradually and only in Russia before making it worldwide.
How did Stalin revolutionize Soviet industry? What were his polices to reorganize agriculture?
He revolutionized Russia using the five year plan, forcing unrealistic numbers to be produced, tiring the workers.
He established collective farms, taking the small farms away from the farmers.
What are the features of a totalitarian state?
There is a dictatorship, no opposition, secret police force, and controlling propaganda.
What steps did Stalin take in the 1930’s to stamp out all possible dissent?
-outlawed public worshipping
-enforced rules with the secret police (had then arrest, kill, and send ppl to camps)
-purges the politburo, removing anyone who threatened his popularity and power.
