What is one off / bespoke production
Individually designed and manufactured, the product is unique - in result is more expensive and difficult to produce
What is batch production
Manufacture of products where the process is carried out simultaneously to create multiple of the same product at the same time, making the process efficient and cost effective
What is mass / line production
Division of labour, sequences of stages as it goes through the mass production system
What is quick response manufacturing
Focused on going through the whole design process ASAP - high priority alongside high quality
What is in house production
Manufacturing is set up in such a way that minimises the need for external suppliers - factories are organised in a way that everything needed can and may be manufactured on site
