clamshell incision - bilateral lung transplant, major thoracic surgery
chest drain scar - intercostal space mid-axillary line
VATS scar - recurrent pleural effusions/pneumothoraces

colostomy bag
loop ileostomy (2 lumens)
transverse cervical scar - thyroidectomy, parathyroidectomy
carotid endarterectomy - carotid stenosis surgery
AV fistula - feel for thrill
longitudinal medial forearm scar - cubital tunnel syndrome, ulnar nerve decompression at elbow
transverse wrist scar - carpal tunnel syndrome, median nerve compression
deltopectoral scar - shoulder replacement, ORIF of proximal humerus fracture
