Etomidate Hint: 3
1) Safe for those w ICP, hypotension
2) No analgesia
3) Rapid onset
Benzodiazepines Hint: 3
1) Midazolam can last 15-30 min
2) Romazicon → antidote to reverse ALL benzos
3) Can be combined w Fentanyl
Ketamine Hint: 4
1) Used mostly in kids
2) Maintain respiratory drive
3) Causes sedation, analgesia, & amnesia
4) Can be combined with propofol
Fentanyl Hint: 1
1) Provides pain relief
Dexmedetomidine (Precedex) Hint: 2
1) Sedation w preserved muscle tone & respiratory effort, spontaneous movement, & easy arousal, allows pt to obey simple instructions
2) Given as infusion
Dexmedetomidine is usually well tolerated but can cause?
Not frequently but can cause hypotension & bradycardia
