Self-management involves using a range of skills to boost your productivity and performance at work.
Self-management empowers employees to set their own goals, and to express their thoughts, opinions and feelings towards achieving the goals that they have set for themselves.
You must take responsibility for your own behaviour, actions and decisions.

It is important not to become overwhelmed. It is also important to engage with others. There are many benefits of being resilient in the workplace, including improved communication and better handling of challenges and difficult situations.

Punctuality
Punctuality means being on time for work.
Punctuality is an essential element of the workplace and not being punctual can create a bad impression of you and lead to a negative relationship with your colleagues.

How to be punctual
Calculating how long it will take you to get to your location (in advance) and allow time for any delays such as traffic.

CPD is the learning that professionals undertake to develop and enhance their abilities. These activities will vary depending on the industry and the professional’s role.

CPD logs
CPD logs are used to document all CPD activities. The logs contain information on the activities completed such as description, dates, times, duration and how the activities will enhance your skills in your current role.
Some industries will require you to submit a CPD log to evidence your continuing personal development in order to maintain a professional accreditation.
CPD logs are a great method of keeping track of all the development activities you complete over a period of time and can be used for reference when completing appraisals with your manager.

Setting and meeting objectives gives you something to work towards and will help direct your effort and energy into achieving the objective.
•Objectives in business are specific and have measurable results, meaning you should decide where you are now and where you want to be.
•Objectives are the actions you take in order to achieve a goal that you have set.

Make your goals simple and achievable.
Ensure that goals are specific to what you want to achieve.
Ensure that you can measure your goal.
Break your main goal down into smaller goals.
Ensure that you have the correct resources to achieve the goal.
Consider the use of SMART objectives (specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and time bound).
