creates change through gentle, non judgement argument

conceptualization

the ability to be a visionary for an organization

foresight

the ability to predict what is coming based on what is occurring in the present and what happened in the past

carefully managing the people and organization / team that have been given to lead. holding the organization in trust for the greater good of society

commitment to the growth of the people

treating each follower as a unique person with intrinsic value beyond what he/she contributes to the organization

allowing followers to identify with someone greater than themselves that they value

-provides a counterintintive approach, leaders should share control
-may not be effective when people are not open to being guided

-may seem whimsical and not really leadership
