What are the principles of treatment for GORD?

Symptom control and healing of oesophagitis.

Involves:
Lifestyle
Antacids/alginates
H2RA
PPI

Possibly do anti-reflux surgery

What treatment is given for peptic ulcers?

Stop NSAIDs
Give H2RA/PPI for 6 weeks
H pylori eradication

How is H pylori eradicated?

2 antibiotics and full acid blockade using PPI, (e.g. give clarithromycin, amoxycillin and lansoprazole)
