Pectoralis major
O: Clavicular attachment - sternal half of anterior surface of clavicle.
sternocostal attachment - anterior surface of manubrium, body of sternum, upper six costal cartilages, sixth rib, aponeurosis of external oblique muscle
I: lateral lip of intertubercular sulcus of humerus
D
A: adducts, medially rotates, flexes and extends shoulder
N: medial and lateral pectoral nerve (C5-T1)
Deltoid (anterior fibres)
O: anterior border of lateral third of clavicle
I: deltoid tuberosity of humerus
D:
A: flex and medially rotates shoulder
N: axillary nerve (C5, 6)
Bicep brachii (long head)
O: supraglenoid tubercle of scapula and glenoid labrum
I: posterior part of radial tuberosity, bicipital aponeurosis into deep fascia over common flexor origin
D:
A: flexes shoulder and elbow, supinates forearm
N: musculocutaneous nerve (C5, 6)
Coracobrachialis
O: apex of coracoid process
I: midway along medial border of humerus
D:
A: adducts shoulder and acts as a weak flexor
N: musculocutaneous nerve (C5, 7)
