Name the nine main skin conditions?
- Rosacea

Oily skin secretions, colour, texture?
secretions- overactive sebaceous glands
Colour- sheen, sallow (yellow), underlying diffused redness.
Texture- Thicker skin, dilated pores, slick or oily to touch, congestion, excess keratinisation.
Lipid Dry secretions, colour, texture?
Secretions- Lack of oil
Colour- Dull, matt, comedones, flakey
Texture- Dull, uneven, pigmentation, redness, capillary network.
Permanently diffused redness (PDR) secretions, colour, texture?
Secretions- Minimal, can be easily agressed.
Colour- Permanent patches of redness
Texture- skin has thin density, fine texture, small pores, scar easily, age quicker.
Dehydrated skin - what it is & what does it look like?
- Environmental factors lack of H2O. Using harsh skincare.
- Tight, flaky, incomplete corneocyte compaction, dull, rough, texture, lacks elasticity, fine lines.
supplements- EFAs, vitamin C, A
Ance - what it is & what does it look like?
- Diet, hormones, medications, stress, environmental factors.
- Redness/inflammation, uneven texture, scarring, pustules/papules/comodones, hyperpigmentation, sore, oily, sheen.
- zinc, vitamin A,C, EFAs
Eczema - what it is & what does it look like?
- Impaired barrier function. Linked to immune system + filaggrin deficiency disfunction.
- Redness, tight, itchy, dry, rashes, burning.

Sensitive skin - what it is & what it look like?
- Genetics, weakened skin barrier, environment changes. Hormonal changes, harsh skincare. Medication, linked to gluten/lactose intolerance

- Redness, broken capillaries. Genetics, overactive immune system.
- Redness, broken capillaries, inflammation, flushing, acne, bulbous nose for specific form.

- Breakdown of collagen + elastin fibres, loss of adhesion of hemidesmosones. Melanocyte damage. Vascular damage.
