What is flexion?
The bending movement that decreases the angle between body parts
What joints provide flexion?
The shoulder, hip and elbow
What is an example of flexion in sport?
Someone working out in the gym bends their arm up when doing a bicep curl
What is extension?
The Straightening movement that increases the angle between body parts

A swimmer swings the arm backwards in preparation for a racing dive
What is adduction?
The movement that pulls towards the middle of the body

The movement that pulls away from the middle of the body

Moving in a circular conical shape
