Agility
Ability to change position and control the body at speed.
Balance
Being able to keep the body stable while at rest or on the move.
Co-ordination
The ability to use two or more body parts together.
Power with formula
The ability to undertake strength perfomances quickly. Formula: Power=strength x speed.
Reaction Time
The time between a stimulus and a movement in response to it.
Speed
The rate at which ana individual can perform a movement or cover a distance.
An example of speed
A sprinter needs speed to cover the distance of the race as fast as possible to win.
Example of reaction time
A cricket player needs a fast reaction time so that they can respond to where the ball has been hit/thrown
An example of Power
A basketball player needs power to drive to the net and dunk even with a defender blocking
Example of Co-ordination
A tennis player so they can move their arms and legs together and hit the ball
Example of balance
A defender in football needs balance so that they don’t fall over when being skilled
Example of agility
A rugby player so that they can run with the ball and dodge or get past defenders trying to tackle them
