A

rigidity and pain at root of tongue, swelling and distension in medial aspect of lower limbs and cold limbs, and jaundice

pathway

A
  • originates medial side of big toe
  • runs up medial aspect of foot at junction of red-white skin below 1st MT
  • passes medial malleolus anteriorly travelling up medial thigh to inguinal region
  • enters abdomen and internally connects with CV2, 3, 4 before resurfacing at SP 13-15, 4 cun lateral to midline
  • goes internally to CV10 and connects with SP+ST+HT
  • resurfaces at GB24 at 7th intercostal space, 4 cun from midline. continues up 1 intercostal space to LR14 before going up to 2nd intercostal space
  • travels down to 6th intercostal at mid axillary line
  • runs back up internally towards oesophagus, passing through LU1
  • terminates lower surface of root of tongue

A

starts from thigh at Jimen (SP11), enters abdomen and inguinal region at QIchong (ST30). connects with SP+ST then continues to Quepen (ST12) before connecting with divergent meridian of
terminates at root of tongue

medial side of big toe, 0.1 cun posterior to corner of nail

F: regulate+control xue-flow, tonify SP Qi+warm SP Yang, clear heat in HT+calm the mind, revive+rescuscitate+calm spirit
I: abdominal distension+fullness, diarrhoea, nausea, ashtmatic cough/breathing, chest pain, menorrhagia, mass uterine bleeding, restlessness, dream disturved sleep, abnormal sorrow
