What to look out for when applying C-collar?

A

For application, 4 finger in 1 thumb technique to close C-collar

  1. Dot at chin, dot at sternum (Take out and adjust)
  2. Pull dot at sternum to check tightness
  3. 1 finger spacing max near neck area
  4. Ears not covered
  5. Attached to shoulders

  1. Medic near head always do timings
  2. When want to change, say “Awkward, awkward.”
  3. Whenever changing grip, new grip guy say “Stable to unstable, I’m in control” Release grip guy say “Letting go”
