Q

Why are some exercises more dangerous for asthma attacks then others?

A

Cooling process of nerve endings in air passageways

Swimming in warm water carries far less risk

Inspired air is saturated with warmer water vapour & the nerve endings are not cooled to the same degree

  • Cold water shocks the body, triggering gasping, hyperventilation,
