Cut out (raise trip, apply &isolate air brake)
Release saloon doors

Saloon lights ON
Marker lights AUTO
Windows blinds secure
Unnecessary cab equipment OFF
Panto storage res.
Exit via B side door

What are the external checks you do?

Damaged brakes/rigging
Trip, couplers, coupler hoses secure
Graffiti or vandalism
Unsecured equipment any other faults

What Centre Cab checks do you do?

Observe:
Park Brake status lights and gauge indicating SPB’s applied
Marker lights to Centre
Windows, blinds
Unnecessary cab equipment OFF
Trips raised
Open and charge Panto res.

What do you do when you get to the trailing end?

Ensure train is
‘In Clear’

Marker lights to AUTO
Windows, blinds
Unnecessary cab equipment OFF
Trips raised
Open and charge Panto res.
Secure all cab doors
Press saloon light OFF button for 5 secs
Press Remote Panto lower button for 2 secs
Observe Panto’s lowered
Observe battery charger fault light illuminates yellow
Observe stabling status light flashes yellow
Exit via B side door and lock
