Tell me about ‘Stone Cladding’
A
It is expensive. It can be field-installed slab by slab or prefabricated into curtain wall panels. Standard-set or vertical support are methods of installation. The stone is +/- 1 1/4” thick in thickness. It uses SS anchors to ensure adjustability.

A
Stone liner blocks are installed at a plant with SS bolts and epoxy resin.
Liner blocks are fitted into J-shaped shelf anchor clips that are attached to the CMU backup wall.

Explain the ‘vertical support method’
A
Continuous vertical channels are placed at 1/4 points in the slab. Stone or other materials ( like metals ) can be installed as panels or in a curtain wall system.

A
- Approximately 1/4 in. thick stone facing
- Fiber-reinforced epoxy skin
- Aluminum honeycomb
