Issues faced in North had largely been present since 1GM, certainly since 2GM. Therefore it was the pull of an improved south, economic prospects and a call to home that were more important. New South represented new opportunities.
Not push because many in poverty in ghettos didn’t even have the funds to move, >50% of migrants were college educated- more middle class BA migrating.
