A

Plaque consist of food particles,saliva and bacteria. It is constantly forming on the teeth and builds up on the surfaces of the teeth especially near the gums and between the teeth

What is tartar

A

Tartar is hardens plaque on the teeth. Tartar allows bacteria to grow and it causes teeth to become stained

What is tooth decay

A

If plaque is not removed, bacteria present in the mouth act on food particles (especially sugar) to produce acids. The acids attack tooth enamel wearing it away until it reaches the dentine underneath. This is tooth decay. The main cause if tooth decay is sugar consumption
