Q

If you increase the temperature what happens to substrate

A

The temperature gives the substrate molecules more energy and they will move around more (kinetic energy) so it increases the number of substrate molecules encountering an enzyme

Q

What happens if the temperature gets to high

A

The hydrogen bonds (that hold together the alpha and beta pleat in secondary structure) causing the active site to change shape so substrate cannot bind to it as it’s wrong shape
