Substances being tested: antibiotics (b-lactams), sulphonamides, tetracyclines, aminoglycosides etc.

Evaluation based on the colour reaction. Bromcresol-purple

Indicator turns yellow at pH 5.2
Negative: purple à yellow
Positive: purple
