Q

What are the Meninges?

A

The Meninges are three layers of tissue that ‘wrap-around’ the brain. They form the BBB which determines what chemicals could enter/exit the brain.

In between the layers, CSF can be found. It acts as a shock absorber, carries nutrients and provides connection between neural/endocrine systems.

Q

What is the Cerebrum?

A

It is the largest/most developed part of the brain. It is what sets us apart from other species.

It consists of two hemispheres which are separate and have separate jobs.

They are connected via small bridge called Corpus callosum
