What is a function of the Endocrine system?
A
Slower than the NS but is more powerful and widespread.

What does a gland do?
A
Secretes hormones to regulate functions in the body.

What does the Adrenal gland do?
A
-secretes adrenaline
-physiological changes in flight or fight
-increasing blood flow to the brain allowing more oxygen
prepares for rapid responce.

What does the Pineal gland do?
A
-secretes melatonin
-regulates the sleep wake cycles
-make individual feel tired ready for sleep
