Why has God given free will?

A
  • Christians believe God gave humans free will so they can choose to love and obey Him freely.
  • Love that is forced isn’t real, so free will allows for genuine relationships with God
  • Some choices people make lead to evil events and suffering
  • Evil in the world is sometimes characterised as the devil, which is beleived to be a fallen angel.
