Define agricultural food systems
The establishment of early permanent settlements close to reliable water supplies, in order to plant and harvest crops, and to domesticate or frame animals such as dogs, goats and sheep.

Largely dependent on the ability of sedentary hunter-gatherer groups to provide a reliable water supply for crops.
Advantages of a hunter-gatherer society
The hunter-gatherer lifestyle provided healthy diets, they were physically active and moving, they gained strong social connections.
