A period in the periodic table is one of the horizontal rows. All of those elements in the row have the same elements

What is a group ?
A
A vertical column of elements in the periodic table are called a group. The elements in a group have similar chemical properties to each other. Group 1 contains Sodium and other reactive metals

a table of the chemical elements arranged in order of atomic number, usually in rows, so that elements with similar atomic structure appear in vertical columns.
