What is the sally-Anne test?

A

Sally has a ball and places it in the basket, leaves the room, Anne moves from basket into box, asked where sally will look for the ball, Those with ASB said in the box as they didn’t realise that sally didn’t know or witnessed what they did so doesn’t know it was moved

A

A

Shown pictures of the eyes expressing emotions and asked to give the emotion. Brain activity measured with an MRI, Those with ASB did worse, left amygdala not activated

A

Practical application, can help those with ASB to mentalise and make improvements, However fletcher-watson et al found these improvements were short lived
