Q
  1. Role in metabolism
-what hormone stimulates it to release which 2 hormones
-what is iodine needed for and why
    -idodine deficnecy leads to what
A

TSH from pituitary stimulates it to release Thyroxine (t4) and (T3)

Q

Thyroid role in calcium regulation
-responds to changes in what
-what is the situation
-what is the response to the situation (aka what does the thyroid)
-what does calcitonin do (2)
-why is calcium essential (4)

A

-blood calcium levels
-too high blood calcium
-thyroid releases calcitonin
