What are proton-pump inhibitors (PPI)?
Class of drug that reduce the amount of acid the stomach produces by inhibiting the stomach’s H+/K+ ATPase proton pump (enzyme in stomach lining).
What is a fluoroquinolone antibacterial (a.k.a. quinolones)?
Class of antibiotics that treat and prevent a variety of bacterial infections by interfering with the DNA of bacteria, causing them to die. Effective against gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria.
