Hitler got involved He agreed to turn violence against the Jews in Hanover into a nation wide attack (because the shot German died) Nazi leaders encouraged to arrange attacks on Jews + their property ( but undercover) - police where told not to prevent violence against Jews SS told to arrest as many Jews as the prisons could take Gangs smashed and burned Jewish property Eg, an 18 year old was thrown of a 3rd floor Some gangs in uniform some not so it would seem like an attack from the public
