what is an output
meaningful product one or more performer’s behavior that contributes to important business results of the organization.
outputs are important because
they contribute to business results. they tell the the employee when they are done with a given task/project so that it stays productive
Performance thinking
application of behavior science to human performance.
what does performance thinking focus on?
outputs. goal is to support and use interventions to improve outputs.
why does the LC use performance thinking?
bc of the behavior analytic background and research base. its effective
who/what are customers in a performance thinking approach?
customers are others who are the recipients/beneficiaries of the job outputs.

how is performance evaluated?
clinical manager, consultants, associate consultants, will take data on job outputs and compared to criteria of job description.
what happens if you exceed performance criteria for job outputs?
eligable for performance evaluation meetings. might be able to participate in performance development plans.
what happens if you are struggling to produce one or more outputs to criteria?
you will be invited to participate in performance development plan. making sure outputs are clear and creating solutions
