A
- Well defined, firm and pale, tissue maintains architecture.
- Seen in cells that have experienced hypoxia (except brain). Indicative of an infarct

- Tissue liquified by WBC enzymes. Surrounding tissue intact.
- Seen in bacterial, some fungal, infections, and brain hypoxia.
