Observation
An act or instance of noticing or perceiving and the acquisition of information from a primary source
Data
A gathered body of facts.
Variable
Anything that can change and be measured.
Precision
How close measurements of the same item are to each other.
Accuracy
How how close a measurement is to the true or accepted value.
Predict
A possible outcome of a scientific test based on possible outcome of a scientific test based on logical reasoning about a particular scientific idea reasoning about a particular scientific idea
Infer
The process of drawing conclusions based on evidence and reasoning
Independent Variable
The variable you manipulate, control, or vary in an experimental study to explore its effects.
Dependent Variable
What you measure in the experiment and what is affected during the experiment
Line Graph

Bar Graph
A graphical representation of data, quantities, or numbers using bars or strips.
Pie Graph
Represents data in a pictorial form, making it easier to visualize and understand the proportionate parts or composition of a data set.
Scatterplot
Uses dots to represent values for two different numeric variables.
