What is the concept of Business change
The alteration of behaviours, policies and practices of an organisation to a new state of operation.
What is proactive change
- A change that is planned and occurs before a business is affected by pressures in their environment.
- Changing toavoid future problems or take advantage of future opportunities.

What is reactive change
- Change that is unplanned and occours after the business got affected by pressures from its environment.
- Changing to response to situation or crisis
- Less effective
What is the advantage of proactive approach
Allow the business to implement a well planned change that avoid future problems while taking the advantage of future opportunities.
What is the disadvantage of proactive approach
- Time consuming
- Required careful effort, focus and leadership skills.
What is the advantage of reactive change
- Undertaken by a busineess in response to situations.
What is the disadvantages of reactive approach
- Business is unprepared
- Employees might resist
- Resources and time might not be available due to quick change.
What are the similarities between proacive change and reactive change.
- Both involves the business undertaking change for future benefits
- Both required the manager to have leadership skills
