What is distribution?
It refers to where within a country people live
What is density?
It refers to how many people live in a specific area
What is urbanization?
It refers to how many people are living in towns and cities compared to rural areas or the process of changing from rural to urban

A factor that makes people want to leave their country
What is a pull factor?
A factor that pull people ( immigrants) to a country
What is a landed immigrant?
A Canadian immigrant the has a permanent resident status who is not a citizen
What is a long lot system?
A settlement pattern in Quebec where there individual lots that are long and narrow and extend to a major river

A type of survey system used in southern ontario where land is divided by roads
What is a section system?
Survey system in most of the prairies with units of land of l.6km by l.6km
What three types of immigrant do we accept?
Independent immigrant, family immigrants and refugees
Where do most immigrants settle?
Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal
