The country was united after the War of 1812. There was no partisan politics. There was only one political party (Democratic Republicans). The country was filled with nationalism and people wanting to help the country’s best interests.

There was no more property equipments for voting. All white man could vote. There was now 3 times the voters there was before. A lot of small farmers and industrial workers could now vote.
