We made it! A big applause for the captain. Eeehu… anyone know what time it is?… doesn’t matter. In Stockholm it’s always.. ABBA O’CLOCK (sätt på dancing queen)

I’m sorry to interrupt, but this beautiful brick building on your right hand side is the real Norwegian embassy, the real one, no joke this time. Now back to the ABBA-party

On your right hand side (om du inte tog Berwaldhallen innan vattnet

A

On your right hand side you will find a gray building. This is Berwaldhallen, a concert hall named after the Swedish composer Franz Berwald. Cool thing about it id that we can’t see most of the building- over half of it is located inside the mountain. We built it that way so that it should take up too much space in the neighborhood

Berwaldhallen alltsa.

Now we are (Standvägen)

A

Now we are driving along the exclusive address I spoke about when we were in the water. The construction of Strandvägen started 1862 and was finished in time for the Stockholm World’s fair in 1897. The apartments are big today but were even bigger back then. 20-30 rooms and that was so you could have space for all the
“help” and assistance that you “needed” in your daily life.
Of course some famous swedes have been living on this street and as an example we have;

Roxette

A

(Spela The Look med Roxette)

Recognize this song? Roxette! The man that sings lives here - Per Gessle. He started the band together with Marie Fredriksson, who sadly passed away a couple of years ago, and they had their international breakthrough in 1989 with this song

“The Look”. Roxette was a hit-machine during the early 90s, sold a total of 75 million albums and had no less than four number one singles on the US Billboard list. Scandinavian record to date.
