A

Less money should be spent on military
We believe in community and social responsibility
Government should be involved in establishing a fair healthcare system
Government regulation is needed to protect consumers and stop private businesses from taking advantage
Taxation should be progressive which means the higher income earners are taxed more. There should be a minimum wage to protect workers

A

They were left bankrupt as they were unable to sell produce
1931 - Drought made unable to grow crops which made their produce reduce in prices so they were financially unstable
1 million people left their homes to fruit - growing areas of the west coast, farmers got payed low wages as well as everyone else

They built homes out of wood and tin these where known as Hoovervilles
President hoover blamed for lack of surrport + relief
Public healthcare rose during Hoovervilles as they had no ripening water or sewage systems
Hoovervilles still existed in in 1941

A

WW1 veterans been promised to be payed a bonus in 1945 for serving in the war
Overall bonus of $23 million
May + June 1932 a Bonus Expeditionary Force made of 12,000 unemployed + homeless veterans all over the US marched to Washington DC to biopics their opinions on getting early payment of the bonuses
Conflict broke out + 2 were killed, 100 injured and a baby died due to Hoover bringing in the army
this showed Hoover didn’t care
Congress payed then money for transport home for the marches but 5000 refused to leave (these are known as communist)
